Description
Description
Fun fact first. The name coincidently is the same as the one from Clever Acosta, though it is not the same farm.
This coffee may be the only Sidra growing in Peru. Like 5 years ago Thomas Pingen from Red Beetle coffee lab went to Clever Acosta and brought him some Sidra seeds (and some other varieties) from Colombia. At this time Clever wanted to start growing rare varieties to push onto the specialty market. Here, 5 years later, we see the second harvest of it. A wonderful yet very small harvest with the focus on the Sidra variety and Peruvian terroir.
With this coffee you can taste the terroir of Peru as well as a classic washed Sidra profile. You will find an overall super clean and sweet cup that reminds a lot of Ethiopian landraces qualities.
Expect a smooth citric acidity accompanied by green apple and stone fruit flavors and a lot of floral qualities! Super well done Clever Acosta!!! We are in love and we are looking forward to next year.
